Why board with Miss Maggie?

We provide safe, peaceful, in-home dog boarding for small dogs (25 pounds and under), ensuring comfort and personalized care for your furry family members. There are no cages here (we do keep a crate for dog/customer preference). There are no barking dogs unless they all start barking at the mailman. There is no loneliness and feelings of abandonment for your fur kid. We only board up to four dogs a night to maintain a peaceful environment. We meet your special feeding needs, including number of meals a day, feeding times, treats, etc (we encourage you to bring your own food). Our home is smoke free, disease free and flea free.
We take small dogs so no one gets bullied and everyone feels safe. If your small dog is a bit "overfed" and tips the scale we can probably still accomodate them.

Our Commitment to Care

As a retired teacher with veterinary experience, I specialize in caring for dogs with special needs, ensuring their comfort and safety. I have worked with dogs and children most of my life.

Dog Boarding Photos

Specialized care for small dogs in a loving home environment.

Two small, shaggy dogs with dark fur are standing on a wooden floor. One dog appears to have some white markings on its face and fur, possibly from powder or dust.

Snow cleared for a place to go potty and a path cleared to the heated bird bath. We take care of the birds here too.

Two cute terriers hanging out on hardwood floor.

Marley is a regular here. She is resting on a dog bed in the bedroom in this photo.

This is the separate den area where dogs that can't get along can be separated. Still cozy with blankets and pillows and a TV. You probably know if your dog is a Grumpy Gus and can't get along. But we can still accommodate him. No worries.

The back yard here is quite large. This photo shows about 1/3rd of it. Notice the un-mowed strip of grass by the fence. I keep one strip tall in the back of the yard for the dogs that like/need the security of tall grass when they poop. And yes, that is a thing.

We keep a crate for dogs that are crate trained and prefer to hang out and/or sleep in a crate. If your dog prefers to sleep in a crate we encourage you to bring yours from home for the comfort of your fur baby but we are happy to let your dog use ours. We do not put dogs in crates unless the owner and dog prefer a crate. Many dogs are fearful of crates and instilling fear is against our mission.

*If your dog shows aggression or extreme poor behavior, your dog will be separated in our den or potentially crated throughout their stay with us. We make every effort not to do this. But some dogs just have to be crated for the safety of the other dogs. This would only happen in an extreme situation and we would attempt to contact you immediately.
